How to Enjoy the Health Benefits of Black Tea
Black Tea is a well known beneficial health drink. Although some favor green tea you the reality is you can get very similar health benefits from both.

Tea is made from the leaf of the Camellia sinensis plant and since black and green tea arrive from the one plant they are both providing health benefits. The difference from each other is merely on the way of its preparation.
If you enjoy drinking on a regular basis black tea, you are promoting the health of your arterial blood vessels and rate of blood flow. The reason for this is the presence of potent antioxidants in tea called flavonoids. Other benefits include: lowering of cholesterol levels, protection from certain types of cancers, stronger bones, cleaner breath and less dental caries.
Like a drink of coffee, tea also contains caffeine. However, the difference between them is that the amount of caffeine per cup of tea is 40mg while per cup of coffee can be from 65- 135 mg.
An additional gain from drinking tea is also zero Calories. Although this is a fact, it will simply remain so only if you do not add any sweeteners or milk. Most people however do so since plain tea tastes boring without these food additions.
Heating is all important in order to obtain the best from a tea bag. The addition of hot water serves for the leaves to release their flavor in the water. Usually all you need to do is to add some boiling water into a cup, where a bag of tea has been placed in advance. Let it stay for a minute or two before removing the tea bag.
If you do not like the taste of plain black tea and prefer your cup sweeten, add a little sugar or perhaps a thin slice of fresh lemon and some honey. You might even add some milk if you prefer.
Black tea doesn’t have all of the time to be taken hot. It can be equally pleasant as an ice-tea by adding some ice blocks and honey.
It’s also excellent served with eggnog by combining some milk, eggs, vanilla extract, nutmeg, salt and some whip cream.
Apart from the above mentioned drinks, you could make additional mixtures using black tea. As a matter of fact you could sample out some experimental combination made by you. By doing so you could have something more wholesome and enjoyable to provide to yourself and others.
While black tea’s popularity is spread world wide, many people little do recognize that health care professionals regard it also as a healthy drink.
